The Institute of Healing Arts and Sciences

Update
– The Institute of
Healing Arts and Sciences: Notice of Closure
The Bloomfield-based Institute of Healing Arts and
Sciences notified the Connecticut Department of Higher Education on June 3,
2009 of its intentions to close. The school is approved by the
Department of Higher Education to operate until its Certificate of
Authorization expires on August 25, 2009.
The Department of Higher Education has informed the
school of state requirements governing the closure of private occupational
schools, and that the school can no longer accept new
students. The Department is working with the school to assure full
compliance with state procedures which require that schools planning to
close either "teach-out" current students so they may complete their
program, or make refunds to students based on the school's refund policy
published in its catalog and in the enrollment agreement signed by students.
